A Time to Support Maine Woodland Owners
Help Us Reach the Top!
We’re grateful for the memories that so many of you shared and the milestones that you helped us meet to mark our 50th year. During times like this, it's important to remember what it means to be an organization supporting the interests and serving the needs of Maine’s woodland owners.
Now, with the end of the year upon us, we are asking you to help sustain our impact over the next twelve months. This year Maine Woodland Owners:
Worked with several dozen bills around protecting landowner rights, the Tree Growth Tax Law, and of course, blocking Sunday hunting for the 74th time.
Continued to produce our monthly newsletter, Maine Woodlands, a primary source of up-to-date information and ideas about woodland ownership and stewardship.
Hosted both basic level and advanced forestry education workshops (in person and online), including a chainsaw safety training series - to support all types of owners.
Unveiled its first Tree Identification Trail in Winthrop offering on-demand opportunities to learn common species, with more sites planned in 2026.
Rapid Response Land Acquisition Fund
To be ready for the next acquisition, Maine Woodland Owners has a fund to respond quickly to land donations, land acquisition or conservation easement opportunities. Please consider an additional donation to help grow this program.
We rely on your support - please donate today!
