Geocaching is a fun activity that involves locating hidden caches with a GPS device or GPS phone app. Learn all about how to get started in this informative hands-on activity with a demonostration led by “seasoned” geocachers Bob and Johanna. There are over half a dozen geocaches in the Demonstration Forest; some contain cool educational information and small “prizes.” Learn how you can find them and thousands of others all over the state of Maine. Please register for this free event by calling Michele Windsor, 744-3111. FMI: Merle Ring at 743-5976. Co-sponsored by the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District. The Ten Mile River Demonstration Forest is located off the Notch Road in Brownfield.  This event of the Western Maine chapter of Maine Woodland Owners is open to the public.
