Location:  Koubek Property, Bremen.

Dick Koubek has been harvesting firewood and other products on his woodlot for many years. Much of the work he’s done himself, in accordance with his management plan. We’ll talk about his careful and thoughtful approach to tree selection in consideration of the future forest. Meet at the property, Nobleboro Road, 1.7 miles northwest from Route 32. Small entrance and former logyard – limited parking and sight distance, please be careful! Some vehicles may have to park at the house/barn, ~1000’ to the southeast

The tours are free and open to the public. They involve walking in the woods and occur rain or shine, so please dress for field conditions. Parking is limited so please consider carpooling if you can. For more information contact Hildy Ellis, Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District at 596-2040 or Morten Moesswilde, Midcoast District Forester with the Maine Forest Service, at 441-2895.
